Pilates for Runners
“I’m an enthusiastic runner, without going through any proper training before. My personal goal is to be able to complete the full marathon this May. However, due to a minor injury in my right knee; with the frequent pain acting up during my run, I have little confident.
I met Adeline by chance through a friend. Understanding my concerns, she tailored a series of Pilates program for my core muscles. Adeline explained the cause of my knee pain and how I should prevent it from happening in long distance running. She noted my muscles imbalances and work through the weaker muscles part together. I felt tremendous improvement in my running.
My initial plan was to discontinue the training after completion the upcoming Sundown Marathon in May. But now, I’m going to continue the session even after the run. From core strengthening, I work towards weight control, increasing my muscles endurance level; to improve my body posture and keeping me in a most favorable condition.”
